Fact: Peeling a banana upside down gives you the same dang strings, plus a little surprise.
Someone told me the other day, that if you peel a banana from the bottom, you won't have to peel off the little stringy things. Well I'm here to dispel that little rumor. I tried it tonight and my banana DID in fact have strings. I hate those strings...they're sour. After one trial I decided that I will not be using upside-down banana peeling tactics in the future. Even worse than the fact that it did not help with the string-problem, the first bite of banana had that little poopy piece on it. You know what I'm talking about - the little black part you usually leave at the BOTTOM of the banana peel, and do not eat...of course I took it off before biting into it, but then it's annoying because you don't have anywhere to put it since you're not done with the banana peel yet!
Go ahead, try this "amazing" tactic, but don't say I didn't warn you.
Obviously there's a reason why EVERYONE eats bananas "right-side up"...they don't call it right side up for nothing! Come on people, this is not a revolutionary idea.

tori hii!!! i love your blog. but i just read this a died laughing. its so true. those stringy things are the worst and your right...where are you suppose to put the black part from the bottom if your not even done eating the banana? haha perfect post. thanks for proving this rumor wrong!
p.s. i can't wait to see you in CA in a few weeks!!!!
I had to do an experiment for a psych class freshman year that involved doing something out of the social norm. So I ate a banana sideways (horizontally, like corn on the cob) and tried to convince my roommates from California that that's how we did it in Utah. They believed me for about five minutes.
Love you ToriWhore! I'm so glad we share a mutual hatred of the banana strings.
