Back to School, Back to School...

I definitely enrolled at IVC (Irvine Valley College) this semester to take a tennis class* with my friend Tarrin! Yeah, I did graduate from a 4-year University, but who says you can't do community college after? :)

So it was back to school for me today, and boy was it eventful! Let's talk about the class dynamics...there's...

The Tennis Nazi Chick: Who pretty much tells you - or just Tarrin and I - that we suck and tells us all of the things we're doing wrong. It's the FIRST DAY...give us a break.

The Hot Guy: Eye candy. Enough said. Oh and he's fun to flirt with.

The Totally Unmotivated Guy: Doesn't move around the court AT ALL, and does not look excited to be there AT ALL, but does find time to teach me how to swing better. (At least he was nice about it.)

The Old Creeper: Picture a guy who's abooouuuut 50. He just has to tell Tarrin and I that he can't take a class earlier than 10 a.m. on a Saturday cuz you never know what's gonna happen on a Friday night and he's gotta get at least 4 hours of sleep. Thank you Tarrin for asking him what he does until all hours of the night...I'll stop there.

The Token Asian: Or ASIANS - aka 85% of the class...did I mention the college is in Irvine?

We were hoping for "The Hot Coach" but the 50-year old foreigner didn't live up to our hopes for a 20-something-Andy-Roddick-look-alike.

Oh and did I mention the best part? Tarrin and I are in INTERMEDIATE Tennis because the beginners class was full. Yeah, I DON'T PLAY TENNIS. Or at least I haven't since I was about 12-years old. As you can imagine, I'm AWESOME. But, it was actually a ton of fun and I'm excited for the class!
