NYR Check & Check

Oh hey, remember me? I've been out of the blogging world lately...but I've been meaning to at least do a little check up on how my New Years Resolutions (NYRs) from 2009 turned out...here it goes:

1. Make new year's resolutions and maybe even keep them :) - I actually did pretty good, check it out...
2. Think (and say) kinder things about people I don't like - I think I've improved...
3. Figure out what to do with my life and then do it! - Done and done:

• Moved to California in May
  
• Figured out what I want to do with my life and got a new job (in September) that is putting me that direction
• OK so maybe there's a little more to life than location and job but I'm working on those things too.

4. Pay off my car - Yeah baby...the CRV became officially all mine in July or August
5. Cut back on use of exclamation points and smiley faces - who knows, this one was dumb.
6. Spend less time on gchat and/or facebook - Actually, I really did get better about this one
7. Find a fun, new hobby - tennis maybe? - Took a tennis class at IVC in Fall of '09
8. Continue to exercise faith in the Lord, trust in Him, and be patient! - Still goin' strong!
9. Become the best person I can - Still workin' on it!
10. Keep on being happy and optimistic! - Still goin' strong on this one too! Seriously, I feel like I've been 100% blessed this year. I know I make a lot of overly sarcastic posts (which apparently to some, seem bitter?) but I really am so happy with life. I know that there's a reason why I am where I am, and I'm doing what I'm doing. My sarcasm comes mostly out of my love of laughing my way through life...to me it's the little things that happen in life that just make me laugh!!!

2009 was a GREAT year...I can only hope 2010 is just as amazing!!

What are my NYRs for 2010 you might ask? Well so far, all I've come up with is a motto:

"Find a 'ken' in twenty-ten" ...don't laugh...I'm half serious.
